Jan ’09 ACI List

4 01 2009

First ACI of the year!! πŸ˜€

New rule: Of the 5 items listed on each month’s ACI list, at least one will be a small/tiny project so I’ll have something, anything, to post at the end of the month! πŸ™‚

January 2009 ACI List:
– Crisp Rectangle Tunic Top / Me / Knit / Whenever
– Lace Tam / Me / Knit / ASAP (need to get yarn first)
– DP Needle Pouches / Me / Embroider+Sew / ASAP
– Cereal Box Magazine Organizer / Me / Upcycling / Jan 31
– Item for OTT 20 / Mystery Partner on Craftster / TBD / Jan 31

Sparks of Inspiration:
– Needlebook/Altoid Needle Tin / Me / Sewing
– Sewing Machine Cover / Me / Sewing
– Drawstring WIP bags / Me / Sewing

Current status:

Crisp Rectangle Tunic Top: Now at 30%
– Issue: Since I skipped the “knit to 10 inches” section and went straight into the second half, I had to add extra inches at the end, which I finished half of. To complete the front, do I have to repeat the shaping? OR, since shaping is all completed, do I just knit to the end, which is 2 more inches??

Lace Tam: need to find yarn
– Issue: This might take a while since…
1. I’m picky about color
2. I’m picky about yarn composition
– Possible Yarn Colors in order of possibility…
1. Grey
2. Black
– Possible Yarn Composition in order of possibility…
1. Acrylic
2. Acrylic + Cotton blend (highly likely this will be Lion Brand Cottonease)

DP Needle Pouches: This is about 10% complete
– Done: Picked out all fabrics that will be used for all pouches
– Next Step: Embroider each needle size (US # / # mm) on white linen

Cereal Box Organizer: Have box
– Next Step: Cut
